HELM Corporation was formed in 1990. HELM provides financial management, accountancy, audit and business advisory support services to the public and private sectors.
In addition to its Head Office, HELM operates from bases in the East Midlands, London, Glasgow, Belfast & Dublin.
HELM retains in-house professional units to support financial management consultancy (including PPP/PFI), accounting services and Audit and Assurance services.

Statement of Capability
HELM provides a range of accountancy services to the public sector and the corporate sector. Our consultants are drawn from practice, industry, commerce, utilities, central government and local government as well as through HELM’s professional accountancy training scheme.
HELM has extensive experience in the preparation of annual accounts of Government Departments, Agencies, NDPB’s and Government owned companies.
HELM provides a range of management accounting services including management accounting development projects, costing projects including activity based costing, secondment of professional staff to carry out management accounting duties or providing management accounting to public and private bodies as a managed service.
Systems accountancy is at the core of HELM’s service provision. HELM retains expertise in-house covering a number of systems including Oracle, SAP, Aggresso, Integra, SUN. HELM has worked on the design, procurement, development, modification, implementation and deployment of a number of financial systems. Example projects in which we have been involved include deployment of new financial systems in DFID, development of costing systems for DEFRA, establishing the opening balance sheet in the RPA, providing management accounting support to Water Service in Northern Ireland, preparing resource accounts for DEL, preparing year end accounts for VLA.
HELM retains a specialist accountancy advisory team which provides advice on IFRS on an international basis.
HELM provides a range of corporate finance advice including for financial planning, acquisition and disposal and due diligence.
